Nevin got another doe this morning - that is three for this weekend....so far! I am so excited - it is going to feel so good having the freezer full again!
Dakota, I will ask him and let you know - each county has different regulations. He gets a lot of doe tags, because he is mainly hunting for meat, not trophies.
I guess you learn something new every day. I was skimming through the regulations manual, and most of the northern (and some of the southern) counties have no limit on the number of anterless deer that can be taken. Unfortunatley I live just a few miles south of that line. :(
It sounds like a great place to hunt, but we don't have a truck to transport anything I might kill. Hopefully I'll have a truck of my own within a year or two and then I can look into that more.
I love-love-love comments! If anything I've said touches you or makes you think in any way, please let me know. I check for comments frequently through the day.
I wish I knew where a person could get so many tags.

ReplyDeleteSean has no where to hunt this year. Poor kid. He's trying not to think about it.
ReplyDeleteAnita, has he thought about hunting on public ground? He could probably get the information from the Dept. of Conservation's website.

ReplyDeleteYeah...he has, and he needs to do more research because I'm afraid it's the only way.
ReplyDeleteDakota, Ste. Gen County is one of the best counties in the state for deer hunting - you could look into public ground there - it's not too far.
